AAM Collaborates with USU to Support Quality Education and Healthcare Enhancement

Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), through its Argon Peduli initiative, actively participated in the 18th Anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatera (USU), by organizing an Expert Lecture and Community Service on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
The expert lecture, led by Sylvi Sundari, AAM’s Central Distribution & Planning Manager, took place at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy Auditorium. With the theme "Leading the Future of Supply Chain Excellence in Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and Medical Devices," the lecture offered in-depth knowledge about pharmaceutical and medical device supply chains and their essential role in maintaining product quality and safety. Sylvi Sundari outlined the end-to-end distribution process at AAM, from the receipt of goods, storage, and distribution, to final delivery to consumers, all in accordance with the World Health Organization’s Good Distribution Practices.
“The pharmaceutical supply chain is critical as it directly influences the quality and safety of products received by consumers. Each phase, from goods receipt to final delivery, must follow international standards to ensure patient safety,” she explained.
The students of the Pharmacy and Pharmacist Profession programs were also introduced to the challenges faced in pharmaceutical supply chains, including inventory management, logistics, and the regulatory changes that frequently impact distribution processes.
Key attendees at the event included Khairunnisa S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., Apt., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU; Vice Dean II, Hari Ronaldo Tanjung S.Si., M.Sc, Apt.; Head of the Pharmacist Profession Program, Apt. Dadang Irfan Husori, S.Si., M.Sc.; Human Resources Director of PT Medela Potentia, Mrs. Nancy Kartika; and AAM Medan Branch Manager,Mrs. Endratri Retno Kiswati.
Human Resources Director of PT Medela Potentia, Mrs. Nancy Kartika, emphasized the strong relationship between AAM and USU, stating, “USU has been one of our preferred academic partners. Our collaboration with USU has spanned over 10 years, and many of its alumni are now part of AAM.”
AAM Medan Branch Manager, Mrs. Endratri Retno Kiswati, shared her personal career experience at AAM, adding, “I’ve worked with AAM for 17 years, and I have never found a reason to look elsewhere.”
AAM remains committed to evolving with the times while maintaining its vision of broadening access to healthcare for the Indonesian population.
Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, Khairunnisa S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., Apt., expressed her gratitude for the collaboration between AAM and the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. “On behalf of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to AAM for its continued support. Previously, AAM awarded our top pharmacy graduates, which we hope will motivate our students further,” said Khairunnisa.
In addition to the Expert Lecture, AAM also participated in the USU Career Center Job Fair to recruit top talent, held from October 15-16, 2024.


Free Healthcare Services
AAM also played a significant role in supporting community service activities by offering free medical treatment to hundreds of residents in Medan and conducting health screenings for the academic community of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy. The free healthcare service took place in Aur Urban Village, Medan Maimun, on October 17, 2024, with active participation from undergraduate, professional, master's, and doctoral students, as well as faculty members from the USU Faculty of Pharmacy.
